Creating parent users

You now can automatically create parent users for students who have not had a parent user up to this point. Just go to ‘Administration|User|User administration’. NO e-mail addresses need to be entered in the field ‘Parent address’ in the master data of the student:

You can choose if you want to create parent users for the students of a specific class or for all classes. You can also choose a password as you have done when creating teacher and student users.

After successfully creating a parent user a message is shown below the ‘Create parent user’ button telling you that new users have been created and a report was sent as internal message to the user (in most cases the admin) who has created the new user:

The internal message contains a CSV file with the name of the parents (if they were entered in the master data of the student), the user name (shortnameStudent_1, shortnameStudenr_2), a password and a possible deviation of the name scheme, e.g. if shortnameStudent_1 is already in use.
